Floor Four Ventures is a student run platform for students at the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU to extend their class projects into viable products, services, and businesses.  This project is not formally associated with ITP.

Students

The process begins with an annual Startup Camp, where local and alumni entrepreneur help current students raise the long-term prospects of their projects. Once students have developed their projects in their classes and beyond, students are encouraged to submit their projects to Floor Four ventures. Our Board of Advisors will review the submissions and give students feedback. Select projects will be invited to present at an invitation-only “Return on Ideas” Hour which puts project champions together with appropriate funding sources, collaborators, and interested outsiders. Students are invited to submit their projects separately for inclusion in the ITP show Launchpad, which helps interested parties identify seed stage projects at the school’s biannual Show. Ultimately, Floor Four ventures aims for the creation of an ongoing incubation fund that will continue to sponsor student projects upon graduation.

Alumni

Floor Four Ventures is an opportunity to mentor ITP students, find collaborators, and give back to the community. We invite interested alumni to attend, speak at, and participate in our annual Startup Camp. We seek interested alumni to join our Board of Advisors. Finally, we offer a virtual space for alumni who are interested in entrepreneurship to discuss current projects and swap ideas in our Entrepreneurs Forum.

Friends of ITP

We welcome participation in our board of advisors, as well as engagement with students and their projects.
