Common Interest

Common Interest is an opportunity for students to present their prototypes to potential investors. Floor Four Ventures, working with the faculty, will cultivate a group of projects each year and present them to investors of all stripes for potential investment, comment, and direction.

Projects which don’t fit in the ITP show but may be viable as businesses can be presented here. Any project created in the context of an ITP class may be presented to the group for consideration.

This is separate and apart from the Stern Business Competition because it is only open to students at ITP, does not focus on the business plan, rather focuses on rapidly developing a prototype and presenting it, and does not require a student from the Stern school as any part of the process. Students are, of course, welcome to engage students at Stern for their assistance.

How it works

  1. Coming in Winter, 2009
  2. Students submit their projects for consideration to the Floor Four Ventures board of advisors.
  3. Advisors select those projects which appear viable and who have robust enough prototypes to present
  4. In turn, students work with the Floor Four team to create a pitch and a business plan for their projects
  5. The details of the event remain under consideration, please contact us if you are interested.
