Startup Camp

As an ITP alum, you may have encountered the question, upon graduation, of how to start a business or develop your project beyond your finals.  Some of us figured it out, started something, and have something to show for it.  Some of us tried and failed.  Still others would have tried but didn’t know how.  Floor Four Ventures aims to fix that. Sign up for the next Startup Camp

ITP Startup Camp attempts to start motivated current students and alumni down the road to Entrepreneurship.  Conceived as an annual event the first weekend after winter break, our Beta Test will be April 19, 2009 at ITP.

What is it?

Startup Camp is a day long “unconference” which encourages alumni entrepeneurs to tell current students what it takes to start a business.  This serves as an opportunity for the alumni community to give back to the current students and an opportunity for all involved to meet like-minded entrepeneurs.

How It Works:

1) Students, Alumni, and interested local New Media professionals are invited to attend

2) Alumni interested local New Media professionals with experience with startups run sessions explaining the basics of bootstrapping a startup.

3) At least one session is designated as a creative session to brainstorm possible business ideas within constraints.

The First ITP Startup Camp was held on April 19, 2009
