Common Interest
Common Interest is an opportunity for students to present their prototypes to potential investors, collaborators, and interested outsiders. Floor Four Ventures will cultivate a group of projects each year and present them to investors of all stripes for potential investment, comment, and direction.
Any project created in the context of ITP may be presented to the group for consideration. Thesis projects, 4×4 or 5×5 projects, and class projects are all eligible.
This is only open to students and alumni at ITP, and is not formally affiliated with ITP. Our focus is not on drafting a good business plan, rather we focus on rapidly developing a prototype and presenting it, along with a revenue model. Students are, of course, welcome to engage students at Stern for their assistance or others in the business community as they see fit.
How it works
- Students submit their projects for consideration to the Floor Four Ventures board of advisors.
- Advisors select those projects which appear viable and who have robust enough prototypes to present.
- In turn, students work with the Floor Four team to create a pitch and a business plan for their projects.
- The week of the show, there will be a one hour pitch session to which investors are invited.
